Keep in mind that all prices listed herein are for complete vehicles that could be put back on the road. Cars with pieces missing or cars that are useful only for the obsolete parts on them may fall well below the value of an E-category car. Modified vehicles or over-restored cars cannot be valued by using this chart. However, if the modifications are slight, it may be possible to estimate a value by figuring-in the cost of returning the car back to 100 percent original form.

  • A - Excellent - Musclecars rating this grade are "fully restored," which describes a "Best of Show" at a large car show. The undercarriage and engine are detailed. Some original cars are good enough to rate this condition. (90-100 points)
  • B - Fine - Musclecars rating this grade are "fully restored" (or excellent originals), with very minor wear. Some original cars are good enough to rate this condition. The undercarriage and engine are detailed. (80-90 points)
  • C - Very Good - Musclecars rating this grade are "partially restored" (or good originals), which describes the majority of non-winning car entries at a large show. The casual observer or man-on-the-street will see no fault with this grade of muscle car. (70-80 points)
  • D - Good - Musclecars rating this grade are unrestored (or originals, or older restoration showing wear). The casual observer or man-on-the-street will readily find fault with this grade of muscle car, but it will still look presentable to him. (60-70 points)
  • E- Restorable - Musclecars rating this grade are unrestored or a fair to poor original, (or an older restoration showing major wear) which describes many muscle cars which are parked but still driveable. (0-59 points)
