Dan StevensMacedonia, OH 1967 Cutlass Supreme This was my first car when I turned 16 (1982). A Southern car that was completely stock when purchased. Since then, engine has been slightly modified, body completely restored and painted (used to be blue, now Audi red) by my father (Bob Stevens) who has painted hundreds of cars throughout his life. Not much restoration was needed - only a few dings here and there. Engine is a 330 c.i., 3-speed turbo-hydromatic 350 transmission, factory air, PS, PB. Recently changed the wheels/tires (15" polished aluminum A/R Torque Thrust II's - BFG T/A 225/70/15 & 255/60/15) and had a custom dual exhaust installed with Thrustmaster mufflers. Next, I hope to find a different rear-end with better gear ratios. |

SS1157@aol.comI am the second owner of this car. My friend's father bought it for his wife in 1967 from Agresta Oldsmobile in Williamstown, NJ. She wanted a roomy family car and that is what he ordered. It has a sport bench seat (family room) with a turbo 400 trans. Beyond power brakes and steering it is a no frills car, with plenty of punch. His dad would take us out every once in a while to blow out the carbon, remember it was his wife's car and she rarely went over 50 mph. I took my driving test in this car. My dad did not have insurance on his Falcon, so I asked my friend if his parents would let me use one of their cars. I thought it was going to be their VW bug, boy did I guess wrong. I bought the car in 1987 for $1600.00 and have been driving it ever since. The drive train is still original, even the carb, and runs very good. It has 290,000 miles on it now. I really love this car. I doubt GM builds them to last like they did back in 1967. |
