DESCRIPTION
1967 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS 442 CLIMATIC COMBUSTION CONTROL AIR CLEANER. A very unique, and little-known option on the '67 Olds models, with V-8 motor. Including Cutlass Supreme, 442, 88, 98, and even the Toronado. It was a dual snorkel air breather which was supposed to help the engine quickly warm up to operating temps. Listed in the salesman's sheets under 'Factory Installed Options' as 'K-50 Climatic Air Induction, V-8' for a whopping $33.70. Not many 442's had this, although some did. Most 442 buyers wanted the chrome air cleaner that was standard, and not this type setup. Even if the car had the CCC, the breather was usually removed and replaced with something else and then lost entirely. So, if your '67 had this option, you may want to restore it back to originality. Or just keep it for future use, when the time comes. As we all know, any rare parts for the '67's are getting almost impossible to find anywhere, so heres a good chance. The unit we have has NO rust, fits the Quadra-Jet carb, and has all 3 pieces. Including: Large base , the top cover, and the correct tin decal plate, all in good condition. We are including the large chrome hold-down washer which is the right one for this unit. The base housing and top cover were media-blasted, and painted the correct semi-gloss black finish. The lettering on the tin plate is so nice, we left it in original condition. True it would need some touch-up to be perfect, but as it is now, it looks like it came off a car when only 1 or 2 years old. Cant beat that. This is the real deal, and factory OEM Oldsmobile parts are the best. Heres a great chance to get a rare CCC air cleaner.
